LDSS - Local DSS

The graphical user interface of LDSS has been designed to be very simple and friendly.
Special effort has been done to represent energy consumption (and production when available) to LDSS users.
Energy information is shown divided in tree periods of time by default: (i) day (ii) week and (iii) month. If user is interested in other means of energy exploration, the interface allow them to select different periods of time.
Energy information is shown for the four types of energy being provided by iURBAN utilities and energy agencies: (i) electricity, (ii) heating, (iii) gas and (iv) water.

Concepts of user engagement have been introduced in the graphical user interface, where energy tips and energy consumption efficiency based on trees achieved is shown.

Personalised messages can be sent every time the operator would like, or can be scheduled over a period of time. Messages can be persistent or can be shown only during a few seconds. This provides a really powerful tool for communication between utility and their customers.

The DR has been introduced in the LDSS by means of two different views; (i) notifications (electricity and heating) and (ii) DR action request.

The notification arrives each time CDSS sent a DR action to a given installation. It provides information about the type of DR and a link of the information related to it.
From notifications view, the user can get further information about the DR requests. While Consumption DR is informative, the Thermostat DR action needs agreement by end user in order to allow LDSS to modify thermostat settings.

u Colored rings around each icon will give you a quick reminder of your consumption compared to the previous day.
u The circle can be red, orange or green. Red indicates bad performance, orange indicates neutral trend and green good performance.
u Values are presented in percentages and they can be positive or negative.
u Positive values indicate that you are consuming more than yesterday and negative values indicate that you are consuming less.

lds 11

u Click on electricity, here you find information about your daily, weekly and monthly consumption.
u During the initial periods the Icons display no values as is the time where iURBAN learns your consumption habits.
u Starting on the second day, second week and the second month the icon will show information comparing your current consumption with that of the previous equivalent period.
u On the bottom, there are useful tips on how to improve your performance.

lds 12

u If you click on the exclamation mark there are more tips to save energy and improve the performance.
u You can select either one of them or search by keywords to find what you need.

lds 13

u The system is learning the users’ energy use habits for about one month and then the tree will fill up as more efficient habits are adopted.
u For every day you use at least 5% less energy compared to a similar day, the tree fills up.
u The ‘neighbors’ tree fills up based on the average consumption of peers that also use the iURBAN tool.
u See which days you achieved a tree by clicking on the trees.

 lds 14

u You will see your daily consumption during the month as well as the days that you saved energy.
u Here you can see how many trees you have won on which days.

lds 15

u If you want detailed information about your consumption so far today, this week or this month, just click on one of the circles.

lds 16

u This page shows consumption in kWh as well as how much you are predicted to consume by the end of the day, week or month.

u Apart from electricity you can also review heating, gas and water consumption and this depends on the agreement with the service provider.
u All follow a similar interface and concepts with some differences.
u For example if you go to heating you can see that the page is very similar.
u Click on one of the circles, for example the day and then you can go to monitored devices
u In monitored devices you can see your consumption spent in water or heating in percentages.
